weicher, flexibler Schlauch, der in den Arm eingef\u00fchrt wird. Dieser Katheter wird eingesetzt, wenn eine langfristige oder h\u00e4ufige intraven\u00f6se Behandlung erforderlich ist. \u00dcber den Katheter k\u00f6nnen Medikamente wie Antibiotika intraven\u00f6s (\u00fcber eine Vene) verabreicht oder Blutproben entnommen werden, ohne dass Nadeln in den Arm gestochen werden m\u00fcssen. Der Katheter wird in eine gro\u00dfe Vene im Oberarm eingef\u00fchrt.
